Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman has been an outstanding professor of psychology since 1993, and the director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. The university is renowned for her pioneering the science of eyewitness memory in children as well as using children who have been abused to be legal witnesses. Professor Goodman is an prolific writer and has been awarded many prizes and grants. She works with a variety of countries and agencies around the world regarding policies and research on child victimization in the court system. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of several professional associations, such as those of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor Goodman also belongs to the Psychonomics Society, American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She has been president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division as well as three divisions of the Child and Family Practice and Policy Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
