Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shankar is a British American singer and musician, is well known for her musical talents. She was the youngest and first woman to receive the British House of Commons Award. Anoushka is the emerging star of Indian sitar. She is a student as well as granddaughter of legendary Ravi Shankar. She was born in 1982 in London. Her childhood years were spent between London in London and New Delhi. The first time she performed was on stage in New Delhi when she was thirteen years old. In 1999, she completed her high schooling within Encinitas CA. Anouskha is still a young woman, however she's got an remarkable career in the field of music and performance. She is often seen performing together with her dad, and has performed with him for many years. In 1998, she released her debut self-titled album Anourag.
